Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026. What cookies and similar technologies NamesStyle uses, and how you can control them.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device through your browser. They let a site remember preferences and, in the case of advertising partners, help show relevant ads. This policy complements our Privacy Policy and explains, in plain language, what NamesStyle (https://namesstyle.com) uses and why.

2. What NamesStyle Stores Itself

NamesStyle does not set first-party profiling or tracking cookies, and there are no accounts or logins. The generator does use your browser's local storage — a similar technology — for one functional purpose: if you mark styles as favorites (the star feature), that list is saved locally on your device so it is still there on your next visit. This data never leaves your device, is never transmitted to our servers, and you can erase it at any time by clearing your browser's site data or using the reset option in the tool.

3. Technical and Hosting Cookies

NamesStyle is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may set strictly technical cookies (for example __cf_bm) to protect the site against bots and attacks and to keep the service secure and fast. These cookies are essential for the site to function and are not used for advertising.

4. Advertising Cookies (Google AdSense)

The ads on this site are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set and read cookies in order to:

  • Show ads based on your previous visits to this site or other websites (personalised advertising).
  • Limit how often the same ad appears, measure campaign performance and detect invalid clicks.
  • Measure advertiser conversions.

Examples of cookies Google uses for advertising purposes include test_cookie (checks cookie support), IDE and ANID (DoubleClick: ad personalisation and measurement), __gads and __gpi (publisher ad serving) and _gcl_au (conversion measurement). Their lifetimes range from a few minutes to a maximum of about 13 months. Google's current list is published at Types of cookies used by Google.

5. Analytics Cookies

If we use analytics tools such as Google Analytics, they may set cookies (for example _ga) to produce anonymous, aggregate visit statistics: how many people visit, which pages are popular and approximately which country visits come from. These statistics are never used to identify individual people, and such cookies last a maximum of 13 months.

6. Consent

Essential storage (section 2 and 3) always operates, because the favorites feature and site security cannot work without it. All other categories — in particular personalised advertising cookies for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — operate according to the consent choices you make through the consent message shown on this site. Without consent, ads may still appear in non-personalised (contextual) form.

7. How to Control Cookies

  • Browser settings: every major browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) lets you block or delete cookies under Privacy and security. Blocking functional storage will stop the site remembering your favorite styles.
  • Google personalised ads: opt out at Google Ads Settings.
  • Other advertising vendors: opt out of some third-party cookies at www.aboutads.info/choices.
  • Google Analytics: install the official opt-out add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

8. Your Text Is Not a Cookie

The names and text you type into the generator are processed entirely in your browser. They are not stored in cookies, not saved in local storage and never sent to any server. The only thing stored on your device is your favorites list, which you can delete at any time.

9. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy if our partners or the applicable rules change; the current version will always be available on this page. For any question about cookies, email us at [email protected] or visit our Contact page.
